The Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is one of 14 National Panhellenic Conference sororities at the University of Texas at Austin. We have been a long-standing tradition and model of excellence at UT since 1929. Texas A-Xi-Ds are known for being down to earth, friendly, and genuine.
We are a diverse group, with members coming from across the state and the nation. Our members participate in numerous organizations and activities on campus, including Texas Spirits, Student Government, Tennis Matchmates, Business Council, Texas Splash, Freshman Leadership Organization (FLO), Debate, Greek Week committee, Order of Omega, Forty Acres Fest, Texas Exes Student Chapter, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Education Council, Women's Rowing (Crew) and Panhellenic Executive Council...just to name a few!
As a chapter, our members participate in many community service activities. In keeping with our national fraternity's commitment to serving children, Alpha Xis have put on a carnival for sick children at Austin Children's Hospital, donated handmade puzzles to different children's' homes in the Austin area,
sent teddy bears to children at an orphanage in Peru, made cards for the
children in New York following the September 11th tragedy and have volunteered at a thrift store that benefits abused women and children. Texas Alpha Xi Deltas have made our community a more beautiful place by cleaning up parks, city streets, and our own neighborhood of west campus.
We also have a busy social calendar with events like Crush Party, Pink Rose Formal, Date Party, and mixers throughout the year with fraternities. We also host annual events like Parents Weekend BBQ, Mom's Day, Founder's Day, as well as a variety of alumnae activities.
