Alpha Xi Delta loves our parents! Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to get involved as an Alpha Xi Delta parent and our parents are invited to special events like Parents Weekend, Recruitment Preview Night, Moms Weekend, Founder's Day, and much more.

All parents are encouraged to join the Parents Club, which basically serves as a "booster club" to support the chapter. Our Parents Club offers assistance during Recruitment and throughout the year as well as sponsor fundraisers to help in house beautification projects. We had an amazing Parents' day this Spring, we are all looking forward to next year. Thank you to all of the parents who were able to be present and the ones who were there in heart.

Over the course of a few short weeks, Alpha Xi Delta new members begin to form bonds of friendship that will last a lifetime. Many Alpha Xi Delta members, young and old, say that their fondest memories of Alpha Xi Delta come from the time they spent as new members. It is a time to learn about chapter life, our history, financial responsibilities, and Fraternity programs, including academic achievement and philanthropy service.

Some facts about Alpha Xi Delta's new member program:

* The new member period lasts 8 weeks.

* New members are welcome to start showing their Alpha Xi Delta pride by wearing letters as soon as they pledge.

* All Alpha Xi Delta chapters have fun and innovative ways to provide academic assistance to new members.

* Because the new member period is intended to be a fun-filled and positive time, Alpha Xi Delta has strong policies against hazing activities, which includes scavenger hunts, imposed curfews, quizzes, blindfolding or forcing someone to drink alcohol.

* We care about the safety and health of our new members. As a result, Alpha Xi Delta has clear alcohol policies intended to help members, new and initiated, make good choices about alcohol use.

* Upon pledging, your daughter will receive information about chapter housing, expectations of membership, as well as financial obligations.
